Entertainment in ancient Damascus was the job of Alrawi, which means the storyteller. People would huddle around him every night as he sits on an elevated platform telling all sort of stories with a particular animated fashion. Inspired with this image we named this oud Alrawi featuring Tarablic Technique sound that is popular with the theatrical Technique playing style. It's design offers short-sustain notes and ease of playing high on the finger board while generating clear and warm sound. All of which are necessary features to support the complex melodies and high agility patterns known for this style.  Like all of our instruments, its produced with our playability standards of high dynamic range and low action which makes playing a joy.
